According to Einstein, time is not a fixed and constant entity but rather a relative concept that can be manipulated by gravity and motion. This theory opened up the possibility of time dilation, where time can move faster or slower depending on the speed at which an object is moving or its proximity to a massive gravitational field.

In this scenario, one twin stays on Earth while the other travels at near-light speed to a distant planet and back. While time dilation is a fascinating concept, it does not technically allow for time travel in the traditional sense of the word. Time dilation merely alters the rate at which time passes for an object, but it does not allow for the object to physically travel through time to a different point in history.

Despite this limitation, scientists have been exploring the possibility of actual time travel using other theoretical frameworks. One such concept is the idea of wormholes, which are theoretical tunnels that connect two different points in spacetime. According to the theory, if a spacecraft were able to enter a wormhole, it could potentially emerge at a different point in time and space.

Another theoretical concept that has been proposed is the idea of closed timelike curves, which are paths through spacetime that loop back on themselves. If an object were to travel along a closed timelike curve, it could theoretically arrive back at its starting point before it departed, effectively traveling back in time.

While these theoretical frameworks offer tantalizing possibilities for time travel, they are still firmly rooted in the realm of science fiction. The technology required to create wormholes or manipulate closed timelike curves is far beyond our current capabilities and may never be achievable.
